Linkd is an independently operated matchmaking service (the "Service") run by a single individual (the "Operator"). By applying to be featured or matched through Linkd, you agree to these Terms and Conditions (the "Agreement"). These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement. Linkd may modify these Terms from time to time. Updated Terms will be posted on Linkd’s website or application platform, and continued use of the Service constitutes acceptance of such modifications.
Linkd is currently offered free of charge. Linkd reserves the right to introduce paid features or fees in the future. Any users registered prior to the introduction of fees will be grandfathered and will not be charged, unless they voluntarily opt into new paid features.
1. Eligibility
Linkd is intended solely for individuals who are at least 21 years of age. By using the Service, you represent and warrant that you are at least 21 years old and that all information you submit is true, accurate, and not misleading. Linkd reserves the right to accept or reject any application at its sole discretion.
2. Safety and Conduct
You agree to treat all participants and the Operator with respect. You acknowledge that you are solely responsible for your personal safety in all online and in-person interactions arising from the Service. Linkd does not conduct background checks, identity verification, or criminal screening. You agree to exercise good judgment and appropriate precautions when interacting with others.
Prohibited conduct includes, but is not limited to: harassment, discrimination, abusive or manipulative behavior; unlawful activity; impersonation; providing false or misleading information; using photos or details not your own; or using the Service for any purpose other than genuine personal connections.
3. Privacy and Confidentiality
Personal information is handled in accordance with the applicable platform privacy policy (including Wix, if applicable). You agree not to share private communications or personal information of others without explicit consent. With permission, Linkd may feature limited profile information for promotional purposes.
4. Matchmaking Process
Linkd is a curated, human-operated matchmaking service. Matches are suggested based on compatibility, availability, and the Operator’s subjective judgment. Linkd does not guarantee that any user will be matched, featured, or contacted.
5. No Guarantee of Results
Linkd provides introductions only and makes no guarantees regarding romantic success, relationship outcomes, compatibility, or long-term partnerships. The Operator is not responsible for the success or failure of any connection.
6. Disclaimer and Assumption of Risk
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND. LINKD DOES NOT SCREEN OR VERIFY USERS AND MAKES NO REPRESENTATIONS ABOUT THE IDENTITY, CHARACTER, INTENTIONS, OR CONDUCT OF ANY PARTICIPANT. ALL INTERACTIONS OCCUR AT YOUR OWN RISK. LINKD EXPRESSLY DISCLAIMS LIABILITY FOR ANY INJURY, LOSS, OR DAMAGE ARISING OUT OF COMMUNICATIONS OR MEETINGS WITH OTHER USERS.
7. Limitation of Liability and Indemnity
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, LINKD AND THE OPERATOR SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR SPECIAL DAMAGES. You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Linkd and the Operator from any claims arising out of your use of the Service or violation of these Terms.
8. Conduct Toward the Operator
As Linkd is operated by a single individual, any harassment or inappropriate conduct toward the Operator may result in immediate removal from the Service. The Operator may discontinue communication or service at their discretion without liability.
9. Service Modifications
Linkd may modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service at any time. Continued use constitutes acceptance of such changes.
10. Governing Law
This Agreement shall be governed by the laws of the Province of British Columbia and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein. Any disputes shall be resolved exclusively in the courts located in Vancouver, British Columbia.
11. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
12. Agreement
By submitting an application or using the Service, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms and Conditions.
